Truro House
PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT:
The purpose of the project was to refurbish the office of the MEC, at Truro House.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
The brief scope of the project included as follows:
- Removal and replacement of existing suspended ceiling panels in all passages.
- Removal and replacement of all damaged wallpaper (passages and offices).
- Removal and replacement of damaged wooden steps to MEC Office balcony.
- Removal and replacement of damaged double cylinder locks including aluminium handles in all doors.
- Removal and replacement of damaged oak doors.
- Removal and replacement of damaged wash hand basin.
- Removal of damaged vinyl floor tiles and replacement with porcelain tiles.
- Supply and fit new shower and bathroom to MEC ensuite bathroom.
- Prepare ablution walls and supply and fit new ceramic tiles.
- Prepare and paint existing walls.
- Preparation and painting of existing ceilings.
- Removal and replacement of damaged toilet seat including all plumbing and drainage connections in staff ablutions.
- Removal and replacement of the damaged waterproof membrane on MEC balcony
- Replacement of broken light fittings and wires.
PROJECT INITIATION:
UKUZA Consulting was appointed as the Turnkey Contractor for the design, supervision and refurbishment of the office of the MEC, 9th Floor, Truro House. A professional team of consultants were then appointed under the Main Contractor, to facilitate the design and construction of the project.
